This May half term, we are celebrating Battersea Park Children's Zoo’s 75th Birthday! Since opening as part of the Festival of Britain in 1951, Battersea Park Children’s Zoo has become a hub for conservation, education and memorable family days out in the heart of London. We’d like to invite you all to celebrate with us, through a number of special themed days, alongside extra keeper talks, nature activities, our Big Birthday Bash and HALF PRICE Kids Entry!
Kids go HALF PRICE during May half term at Battersea Park Children's Zoo
From 23rd - 31st May children can visit the zoo for half price standard entry*, book online or on the day at the zoo (if space allows).
Minutes for Nature Challenge
Everyday at The Hive Cabin 11am – 1pm & 2pm – 4pm
In honour of our 75th birthday, we are launching our Minutes for Nature challenge! We’re asking our visitors to pledge their time to help the natural world, be that through a litter pick in the park, a beach clean or planting bee friendly flowers on your windowsill. Visit the Hive Cabin for ideas on how you can support local wildlife and to make your pledge.
How about giving some time to nature during your visit? Get your hands mucky by making bird feeders in the cabin. Bird feeders cost £2 to make and include a badge made from the visitor’s own design.
All pledges will be made into leaf and added to a Pledge Tree mural at the zoo.
Making a pledge at home? - let us know how you are getting involved #Minutes for Nature and we will add your actions to our pledge tree!
