Battersea Park Children’s Zoo - Beekeeper Experiences Terms and Conditions
Experiences run on weekends and selected weekdays from May to September, when bee colonies are most active. All sessions are weather dependent and require fair conditions. In the event of unsuitable weather, the Zoo will contact you on the day to rearrange.
There are a maximum number of 6 guests on any beekeeper experience.
Under 18's
This experience is suitable for anyone aged 12 or over.
Under 18's must be accompanied by an adult who will need to purchase zoo entry. Unless specified as a participant in the experience, adults are there to support the child(ren). Accompanying adults will watch the experience, but do not take part.
Clothing and PPE
Participants must wear suitable footwear on the day, no open-toed shoes or heels/sandals. Beekeeper suits will be provided.
Safety
Participants will be given a Health and Safety briefing at the start of the experience. Battersea Park Children's Zoo reserves the right to terminate the experience should the participant or accompanying adult behave inappropriately or in an unsafe manner at any time.
Waiver of Liability - Battersea Park Children's Zoo does not accept liability for any person, injury or property damage from any action or cause whatsoever undertaken at the park. Participants and guests must abide by staff instructions. It is a condition of participation that guests observe all warning signs and verbal instructions and do not venture over safety barriers or enter the Park’s off limit areas, unless instructed and supervised by keeper staff.
Medical Conditions, Learning Difficulties or Disabilities
We will make every effort to accommodate those with special needs or disabilities however, due to Health and Safety requirements and personal well-being this is not always possible.
This experience is not suitable to anyone with an allergy to bee stings.
This experience is not currently suitable for wheelchair users.
It is the responsibility of the purchaser to declare any medical conditions, learning difficulties or disabilities of the participant. We reserve the right to cancel a keeper experience on the day should the participant arrive with any undeclared conditions.
In these circumstances Battersea Park Children's Zoo will not be held responsible for any loss of expenditure e.g. travel, hotels or cost of the experience. The welfare of the participant and the animals is paramount.

Cancellation Policy
The experience is non-transferable.
Experiences are non-refundable except in exceptional circumstance - illness, injury, bereavement or jury service. This is at the discretion of Battersea Park Children's Zoo and evidence may be requested. Should a refund be agreed there will be a £20.00 fee incurred.
We reserve the right to cancel encounters at short notice due to animal welfare issues.
Poor weather - if the weather is unsuitable for the encounter on the day, then the zoo will need to reschedule. No reimbursement will be made for any travel expenses. We will try our best to give as much notice as possible. We will do our best to offer an acceptable alternative.
