A Week of Family Fun, Animal Love Stories and Half Term Activities at Battersea Park Children’s Zoo

Love is in the air at Battersea Park Children’s Zoo this February half term. From 16th to 22nd February 2026, the zoo is celebrating all kinds of animal love stories in its special ‘Valen-tales at the Zoo’ event - a week of family activities and keeper talks.
From otterly romantic otter couples to the heartwarming brotherly bond of the zoo’s resident donkeys, Valen-tales brings to life the fascinating relationships found in the friendly zoo, with plenty of hands-on fun for visitors of all ages.
Throughout the week, the Hive Cabin will be buzzing with free games and craft activities from 11am to 4pm each day, including:

Badge and keyring making (additional £1 per item)

Learn about animal relationships and family bonds across the animal kingdom

Family-friendly activities suitable for children of all ages
This half term also features an extended programme of keeper talks including the much-anticipated return of the rabbit and guinea pig feed, not offered since 2019:

Visitors can also enjoy the zoo’s play areas, complete with fort, full-sized helicopter, and fire engine.
