Please note the smoking of cigarettes, cigars and e-cigarettes is not permitted anywhere in the zoo. Customers may get their hand stamped, exit the zoo and re-enter.
Only Registered Assistance Dogs are welcome to visit Battersea Park children's zoo. All dogs must wear their harness/uniform and be on a short lead where applicable. Assistance dog identification/registration may be requested.Visitors with assistance dogs will be asked to meet with a zookeeper on arrival for an on-site briefing and confirm acceptance of these and any other conditions required on that day. For the welfare of our Capuchin Monkeys dogs are not permitted to walk through our monkey area.
Proof of disability can include a Blue Badge, Access Card or similar, DWP letter (i.e PIP, DLA), statement of special educational needs from a LEA, or a letter from a medical professional on NHS headed paper stating carer required.
We are open from 10am every day except Christmas and Boxing Day. Closing times vary throughout the year. Occasionally due to unforeseen circumstances, opening times and dates may change. We recommend checking our website and social media when planning your visit.
Visitors are welcome to ask our catering staff in the Zoo Cafe to refill their water bottles for free. All hand washing stations around the zoo also provide drinking water.
Our friendly zookeeper team are always out and about around the zoo and happy to chat! Feel free to ask them questions about our animals at any point during your visit.
In the interests of conservation and reducing our impact on the environment, balloons are not allowed inside the zoo grounds. Bubbles make a great environmentally friendly alternative.
